Attorney William Lucius has announced the establishment of the Lucius Law Office, PLLC, a new law practice centered in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This practice will focus on elder law, estate and long-term care planning, VA benefits, as well as representing children and adults with disabilities.
Attorney Lucius is licensed in both Michigan and Wisconsin, and has been practicing in the Ironwood-Hurley area since 2008. Lucius is a member of the governing council of the State Bar of Michigan Elder Law & Disability Rights Section, is a board member of Elder Law of Michigan, located in Lansing, Michigan, and WISPact, Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin. Lucius is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and an accredited attorney with the Department of Veteran Affairs. “I am excited to open my practice in the eastern Upper Peninsula and share my knowledge of this unique and rapidly expanding area of the law. I thoroughly enjoy representing seniors, their families, and individuals with disabilities in their various needs.”
Originally from Lakeland, Florida, Attorney Lucius received BAs in Political Science and Philosophy at Elmira College, New York, and received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. While at Stetson Attorney Lucius received a concentration certificate in Elder Law.
Active in the community, Lucius sits on numerous local and governmental boards, is the past President of the Ironwood-Hurley Rotary Club, a former City Commissioner for the City of Ironwood and candidate for State Representative. He is married to Stacey Lucius, originally of Sault, Ontario, who is an elementary teacher. They have two children-Mason, 3, and Addision, 9 months. “Our family is excited to relocate to the Sault to be near family and friends, as well as establish ourselves and become active within the eastern UP community.”
